HACHIKO

HACHI:D
This movie that i happened to stumble across online was seriously a tearjerker movie. i understand that this movie have been out for years but i am still gonna recommend it especially to those that have not watched it!:D
This movie is based on a true story in the 1990s. It all started when an Akita puppy was sent from Japan to US but his cage fell off the baggage cart at an American train station and it was there that he was founded by a college professor Parker Wilson. In this movie, you will see how bonds btwn them grow and also how Hachi stay loyal to the professor even after his owner death. This is a simple yet magical and heartwarming true story about loyalty and unconditional love &&i must admit that i've cried bucket of tears, but it was really worth it.
Ever since this story, a Hachiko statue was created outside the Shibuya station which is located in Japan for this famous dog, who has possessed legendary loyalty to his owner. amazing isn't it(:
This is prolly one of the most touching&sad story i've ever seen. Do watch it(:

Cyber-Bullying
Posted on 00:25 by Unknown

(Taken from Google image)
Finished watching a show on cyber bullying& i felt really disturbed. No doubt, female and male bullies are everywhr, bt with technology nowadays, it has given them an additional platform to show themselves. Fake identities may be created online; insults and awful languages are used on innocent peoples. Some may start off with people they have held grudges against for quite awhile while some may start off with just a joke.
Many bullies find it 'unreal' as they hide behind their screen and bully people with their words. They've never thought of what the consequences would be like. But truth is, every hurtful thing that is sent out by them affects one's self esteem and prolly even their life. Victims who are cyber-bullied often stay silent about it and would constantly felt that they are driven to the corner; like there's no escape for them. Whats most hurtful is that such pain follows them back home. People always overlook such problems; severe cyber bullying can cause anxiety, depression and even suicidal thoughts. See how serious it is?:/
But what have they done to deserve such treatment?
To all victims of cyber bullying out there, don't be afraid! you can prolly start off by sharing your encounters with your parents or maybe someone you're comfortable with. it is always the first step that are hard to take. Don't entertain the bullies by calling them names because that makes u the bully as well. there are many ways that one can take action on, e.g. printing out the evidence of cyber bullying and reporting it or to just block the contact etc. Know that there are support groups out there which would be glad to be of help, or approach a counselor if needed(: Rmb, it is important to share it with someone you're comfortable with, dun go thru it alone. Friends and family are always there to support u emotionally, physically and mentally(:
So.. how can we play our part? Well, simple! Be thankful for the technology we have; iphone, blackberry, macbook etc, its a privilege for us and lets not misuse it(: hee:D
Till then(:
