My HDB Story; Good-OHHH-20 years (:

Posted on 10:14 by Unknown
White walls, grey furnitures and up in the highest level.

20 years have passed and i'm still living in the same estate, same flat.

I grew up living in a 4-room flat and never once have we thought of shifting to a new flat. Maybe because of all the memories that have been build up over the years, even before i came to this world.. but definitely, the times I played block catching with my friends, when occasional block parties take place, the times when i will rushed to the nearest convenience store aka 'mama shop' to buy ice pops for a penny and honestly, not abit has changed except that instead of playing block catching, i watch others do and instead of ice pops being a penny, it increased by afew cents. but it's alright, because it's the estate and the country i lived in which makes all this changes lovely in one way or another. I still walk past the kindergarden i used to attend, the police post that has been there since young and these feelings gave me a sense of security and familiarity.

20 years of living in this estate and i'm loving every bit of it. i wouldn't say that the flat that i'm living in is my dream house BUT i would say it's comfy enough for me, for this is home, i know i belongg~

Speaking of dream house, that's one of the favourite topic my boyfr and i always have.
& when it comes to this topic, i believe everyone will have their own definition of dream house cus not everyone get to grow up with the privilege of living in a big and pretty house. but at least i know i'm blessed enough to have a proper accommodation.

bt anw, back to topic:  for boyfr and I, we talked about every single detail on how we wished for our house to be like.. from the living room to kitchen to bedroom to even having a recreation room. HAHA. don't stop us from all the possibilities pls, jus let us dream first. who knows one day we'll be able to live in a house like that.

--------------------------------------------------------♥------------------------------------------------------

p.s. All images are taken from google for the purposes of aiding you for better imagination. hahaha.

The living room don't have to be too big but spacious enough for a flatscreen TV as well as big comfy sofa. HEHEHE. and perhaps a table for us to place our drinks and supper late night.

The kitchen on the other hand HAVE to be big so that i can COOK AND BAKE AND DANCE ARD at the same time. ok kidding, take that last point out. but i've always dream of making meals for my love ones in a pretty pretty kitchen. is this like a girl thing? ok, i'm not so sure. bt anw.. baking yummy cookies and cupcakes in a big kitchen jus makes everything feels better too. #dontaskmewhy

While game consoles and TV is a must to be placed in our bedroom; i want to have a desktop which looks appealing enough for me to do my work. hehehe. Ohhh and other than recreation room, i secretly wished we could have another room specially for meeee where i can do my music in peace. HAHAHA. ok, i'm sounding really ambitious now. but who knows~ hehehhee.

& definitely, we had other crazy ideas on our dream house but we eventually pushed it aside. One of which --> living in a hut by the sea. LOL?! #plsdunjudgeus hahahha. but..the thought of tsunami and all the other unpredictable disaster are just toooo....depressing. so, we thought to ourselves that maybe when we grow old enough for such 'YOLO' stuff then we may reconsider again. HAHAHA.

I hope this is not too wordy but i feel really happy sharing it out.
i'm so excited for my future! :D

Now that i've shared mine, what about your dream house? (:
Having that said, do check out  www.iProperty.com.sg  and who knows, you may just find your dream house there! (:

Thanks for reading till the end ♥
& i hope this is not too belated but

 HAPPY 48th SINGAPORE!
SARANGHEYOOOOO!

A whole new record- Edmund Chen Challenge press conference

Posted on 06:03 by Unknown
Attended Ec challenge press conference last Monday with Mint and it was DABOMZ.

A big big big congratulations to Edmund Chen for setting a new world record on 29th July 2013 for creating the world's longest drawing by an individual, with a length of 601.255 meters exceeding the previous record of 411 meters by a Mexican Artist.

Everyone was so relief to know that he managed to clinch the world record because it was announced only ON THE DAY ITSELF, after the measurements of drawing and ensuring that all criteria are met which really kept everyone including Edmund Chen himself in suspense.

(p/s for the blur image but i just thought this is a really touching scene heh)

& what's even more heartwarming was that, the crew actually prepared a surprise token for him!

Edmund Chen's media friends came by too! (:

Students from Simei ITE's Nitec in Digital Audio Video Production (DAVP) have also showed their support by helping to record and document the entire process since Day 1! Big cheers to them for being such significant support in this challenge^^

Tried my best to capture the overall view of the drawing cus it's really long!

TADAHH. Pretty isn't it? (:

I particularly like this drawing because not only is the fish pretty but it also marks the completion of the entire drawing which i felt was really meaningful. The golden koi also represents a symbol of unity, determination and the need to swim against the odds to succeed which really reflect Edmund Chen's never-say-die spirit in this whole challenge. *salute*

这么美的鱼,哪里忘了跟它拍?
(Since it's so pretty, how can i not take a pic w it)

hehehe.

So here you go..

actually no, i think i see two fish in this picture. Mint looked as tho she is the 3D version of the fish. HAHAHA.

Below are some of the pictures taken with..
Representative from Guinness World Record

Jerry who is an actor! (:

Xiang yun jie (:

Last but not least; Edmund Chen, 之财大哥! (:
Felt so honoured being able to be to take a pic w him. hehe. *fan girl mode on*

While being interviewed, Edmund Chen said something very meaningful like,

"你有梦想,生活才会有色彩.
你有理想,才有动力.
那如果很多东西你不去推动的话,生活就这样子一晃,2013就过了. "

"if you have dreams, your life will be colourful.
With ideals comes motivation,
& if you're not going to do anything about it, 2013 will be over in the blink of an eye. "

& i've no idea why but this sentence jus kept ringing in my mind after the event. Maybe because i find it very relatable and meaningful. Not only that, i really admire how he went after what he believed in and tadah here he is with his new record which he set not just for himself but for Singapore and the world. I guess, sometimes achieving starts from believing ya?(:

Once again, congratulation to Edmund Chen for setting a new world record! (:

Thanks lovelies for reading! (:

Till then,
xoxo

[Review] Sparkling Wine Jaillance (:

Posted on 11:04 by Unknown
I'M SO HAPPY TODAY because i finally had the chance to open up my Sparkling Wine Jalliance to drink! *POOOOOP*

Wine Jaillance is produced in France and what interest me even more was some of the requirements they adhered to in the process of producing it.

--> the grapes used have to be harvest by hand
--> they follow the traditional methods of winemaking

--------------------------------------------------------♥------------------------------------------------------

I would say that both bottle of wine brings about very unique taste. but personally, i would prefer Muscat, Clairette (alcohol level:7%) more because it tasted fruity and sweet while Semillon (alcohol level:12.5%) tasted bitter (to me). Sweet > bitter, always work better for me (: But i'm sure Semillon would be able to satisfy the taste bud of people who preferred wine with a stronger flavour.

You can easily find them (Semillon and Muscat, Clairette) in places like Cold Storage, Giant, Jasons and Marketplace, at $29.90 and $26.90 respectively. It's pretty affordable and value for money given the fact that you're getting yourself an award winning wine which could have cost even more.

if you're interested, feel free to find out more on Wine Jaillance here (:

Till then,
xoxo

Are these deem-to-be-healthy-snacks really healthy?

Posted on 01:19 by Unknown
Have you ever thought of the possible misconception we all have when it comes to certain snacks we deemed to be healthy? Could it be because of some clever marketing skills which allow us to believe that it is healthy when it's not?

Came across this video and thought it would be nice to share with everyone (:

OMG RIGHT?!

My jaw literally dropped after watching this video, esp when they talk about FROZEN YOGURT cus that's my favorite and most of the time, i would just assume that the more you eat, the healthier you get.

HAHA LOL. can't believe that's what i believe in. Well-marketed 'junkies', i guess? Did some research and found out that though it is true that yogurt may be healthier choice but while it is deemed as fat-free, does it means that it is low in sugar?

Answer is NO because sugar in this case have been added more to act as substitute of fats. IF NOT WHY DO U THINK IT'S SO YUMMY?! *shakes head* and like what was mentioned the video, we often got carried away with our toppings and we will start adding choco chips, marshmallow, gummy bears. ahhh. i can jus go down the list and the thought of it now sure feels sinful. hahaha.

This video has definitely opened my eyes to the things i've missed out on and also make me think twice on consuming food which are deemed as healthy. i guess the next time when i enter a self serve yogurt shop, i'll TRY to make sure i get the smallest cup and maybe with minimal toppings. HAHAHAHA.

Short post today but hope you guys learnt something new (:

Till then, xoxo

Lotte Koala's March (:

Posted on 07:34 by Unknown
Saw this on my table when i reach home and was super happy (:

 So presenting to yoooou....

 LOTTE KOALA'S MARCH BISCUIT!

Abt Lotte Koala's March

Lotte Koala's March is a bite sized crunchy biscuit with Rich, Premium Quality fillings with a koala character imprinted on each biscuit and there's like 365 Koala characters as of now!! imagine 5 years down the road, there may be more and more Koala characters being designed:D it's character aims to offer us the simple delight that comes from association with the character drawn on the biscuit when we sees it (:

Lotte Koala's March comes in 3 different flavour:
Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla

*imported from Japan & Thailand/ Approved by AVA.

Can't wait to start munching on them :D

ohhhh& an interesting thing i found out abt Lotte Koala's March;

the koala on the biscuit actually symbolises love for the environment - ecology, nature and kindness
& LOTTE also contributes to the Australian Koala Foundation.
YAY for the social impact (:

--------------------------------------------------------♥------------------------------------------------------

So anw there's this new trend; Chocoball experiment going on in Japan, Thailand, Taiwan but has yet to reach Singapore.

so i thot it would be fun for me to try and see the result on my own!
*CHANG CHANG CHANG* presenting to yooou my very first video (:
ENJOOOYYYY!

Clearer view of my end result;
(Sry for the mini dent cus i couldn't resist and took a bite first. HEHE)

That's about it (:
Hope you enjoyed the video and go try it on your own too!
have some funn^^

Till then

'No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted ♥'

Posted on 12:13 by Unknown
Volunteered with dogoodsg 2 days back at Ngee Ann Poly and it was really really enjoyable! (: it definitely felt different from all the other kind of volunteering i've done before.

So just a summarised intro on what is this about;  (Photo Credits; Dogoodsg)

'Do good' initiative is basically a campaign launched by Fairprice foundation on their 5th anniversary to encourage more singaporeans to perform simple act of kindness and good deeds.. and honestly, i find it really meaningful. well, i guess that explains why i volunteered (:

We're often too caught up with life to the extent that we tend to forget the kind of impact a simple act of kindness can bring about.

To be frank, it's actually not difficult at all; sometimes putting a smile on your face is more than enough to brighten up someone's gloomy morning, even a simple greeting like 'good morning' to e bus uncle would make a difference too! Try it (:

There will definitely be days when we wake up feeling grumpy but you can always help yourself by helping others, and who knows, you may jus feel better and happier the next moment aft brightening up someone's day^^

Let us all come tgther to make this a better world (:

& in case if you're wondering, why is the track filled with so many snacks, let me explainnnn:D

--------------------------------------------------------♥------------------------------------------------------

Okay so basically everyone is entitled to one snack of the choice and all you have to do in return is to pledge one or more good deeds that you're want to do. See the white tags 'hanging ard'?(: Those are some of the good deeds that have been suggested for you, if not, feel free to create your own act of good deed^^

SIMPLE?!

(an act of good deed by NP student; buying 8 Fahrenheit's ice cream for e giving store ambassadors!)

Now that they've made their stop in Ngee Ann Poly, catch them at their next stop at Downtown East, this saturday, from 11am to 6pm! Don't be shyyy (:

I would really love to be volunteering w them again when i can!! Happy day, happy girl(:

If any of you are interested in volunteering, do drop them a fb msg at Dogoodsg! I'm sure they will be more than happy to hear from you (:

Spread the love peepoos❤

Till then,
xoxo

My my vvv first wedding gig (:

Posted on 10:52 by Unknown
For the very first time in my 20 years, i finally got the chance to perform (:

Tho i was from choir, i wouldn't consider choir performance as a performance because 50% of the time, i was just mouthing the words and 99.9% of the time my role is just insignificant so yeah.. i'm really really thankful for this opportunity.

No words can really describe how i feel (':

hmm. i wouldn't say i did well because i was really really nervous but i've really tried my best T.T Gna continue to practise and improve in whichever way i can. ohhh, and prolly do smth abt my confidence level:/

Anw, here are some of the snapshots i manage to get out of my video. haha.

Once again, i'm thankful for this opportunity
& i'm definitely anticipating the next (:

Till then,
i promise to be a hardworking girl
& to get better and better each time.

Sean's 21st Casino birthday ^^

Posted on 10:52 by Unknown
Was invited to boyfee friend(Sean)'s 21st casino-themed birthday partyy at changi chalet (: & since Sean mentioned that he invited 90+ guests, we decided not to get him a gift since we foresee that he'll be receiving quite a number of presents HAHA so we made the decision to DIY a birthday board for him.

& it's much more sincere this way, isn't it? (:

(Credit; Sean's fb)

Arrived there just on time for the party and yesss, photo taking is a must especially with such beautiful backdrop decorated.

Boyfee&I❤

Guess who i met there as well? (:
CHINGSIANG, poly coursemate

Bartender of the day; Huayao (:

Super big birthday cakee (:

(credits; Sean'fb)

afterwhich, we played bingo and it was funny and entertaining looking at everyone's expression whenever they get to BINGO. hahahaa. it was pretty high, especially with the birthday boy shouting everywhr. HAAHA. This is prolly one of the 'grand' birthday celeb i've been to.

and i asked myself; what kind of 21st do i wish to have?

& yes, i do envy how people can make their 21st grand& all.
but.. that isn't something i will want to have.

i don't have alot of friends and so i guess, a simple one will be good enough? (: We can all just get together to sing and have a good meal/ catchup since we're all busy with life and prolly just camwhore alil before heading back home. or prolly make the day a meaningful one where i can get to volunteer tgther w my fam and friends (hehehhee) and have a good meal after which. i'm sry if this sounds boring to anyone though. but i guess sometimes, simplicity is bliss (:

 Till then,
xoxo

Weekends is hereeee (:

Posted on 09:45 by Unknown
IT'S FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GNA GET DOWN ON FRI~~

hahaha yes, it's friday and be ready to say hi to weekends(:
Just thought of a lil throwback to last weekend where boyfr and i went to Johor.

so we practically spent our entire day there......eating HAHA but of course we did manage t catch a movie (: Watched monster university and it was awesome(as expected)! haha. now can't wait t catch despicable me w boyfr (: BANANANANANA.

Had lunch at this Mexican restaurant; ELMIGOS Mexican Pizzadillas (:

Boyfee ordered this drink that looks like blue coral.

While i prefer to stay in my comfort zone by ordering drinks that are deem familiar to me. HAHA.
so yes, OREO MILKSHAKE. *slurps

Boyfee's meal! Look at the amount of fries the give. so stingy. hahaha T.T i can totally just use my fingers to count the number of fries on the plate.

MY CUTE BOYFEE :D hehehehe but with his pathetic looking fries T.T

While i ordered baked rice HAHA. again, something i always order in singapore. Perhaps i shld start to learn to be more 'adventurous' haha.

After lunch comes desserts (:
(p.s no pic taken heh)

& yes, there's no exact stop for us when it comes to eating. so after watching Monster University, we find ourselves in another restaurant chilling and trying their drinks and dessert. HAHA.

Boyfee ordered Honey green tea but... it looks super greenish right?! *gasp*

i ordered strawberry aloe vera or.. smth along that line. hahaha. i love this!! it's really nice bt definitely does not helps if you are feeling thirsty. hahaha cus it's pretty sweet:x

& to end our day off, we had MANGO ICE:D weeee! my favv (:

After finishing our desserts, we find it pretty silly that we ordered our drinks tgther w mango ice cus we were freezing by then. hahaha.

--------------------------------------------------------♥------------------------------------------------------

Weekends are so precious to me especially now that boyfr is serving NS. Really really cherish all the time i get to spend with him and yes, weekends is always great when you get to spend it with the ones you love (:

--------------------------------------------------------♥------------------------------------------------------
